Empowered to Connect Simulcast
Empowered To Connect, together with Show Hope, hosts the Empowered To Connect Conference — a two-day conference designed to help adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders and professionals better understand how to connect with “children from hard places” in order to help them heal and become all that God desires for them to be.
The conference features Dr. Karyn Purvis and is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, therapists and others.
Friday & Saturday, April 8 & 9th, there will be possibly three host sights in Wyoming: Gillette, Sheridan, and Casper. Check back for a list of locations.

Orphan Sunday
Orphan Sunday is an opportunity to rouse your church, community and friends to God’s call to care for the orphan. On November 13 this year (or any Sunday you choose), host an Orphan Sunday at your church. Each event is designed and led by believers in the local church to make visible the need for families to adopt, care for a child in foster care and provide for orphans globally. As we respond to God's call to care for the orphans, lives are transformed. Certainly, orphans and foster youth are changed forever. The website, www.orphansunday.org, holds a host of ideas and resources for local events, from posters and bulletins to videos, study guides and sermon notes. There are many local families, probably some in your own church, that would be happy to share their foster and adoption story. As November draws near, please reserve a Sunday with your pastor and contact Wyoming Adoption & Foster Care Alliance for more information.
